Class 3: Asana
Word count: 125
Reading Time: <1min
What is asana to me?
Energetic purification as preparation for Pranayam and Samadhi
Self-inquiry
making the internal externally conscious
changing harmful narratives
re-wire the mind; shed embodied imperialism and all it’s mechanisms
Improve stability, stamina and tapas in a world that constantly disorients me and tests my desire to be a part of it
To ground my constant conversations with death and life-as-choice in something tangible and empowering
To be in visceral conversation with Ishvara Pranidhana
To understand my body as an energetic container, rather than just a physical container or source of labor
connecting with an inner knowing of vayus, drishti + bandhas
What is yoga to me?
the various processes and practices of experiencing Pure Consciousness and reflecting Pure Consciousness in the material world
